This noncertified interactive half day course is a short comprehensive review of the ISO 9001:2000 standard clauses. The objective of this course is to give a rudimentary understanding of the philosophy behind the standard and its acceptable exclusions, with a brief discussion about implementing and auditing to the ISO 9001:2000. Also discussed is the utilization of ISO 9001 and ISO 9004 as a "consistent pair" when developing your QMS to the 2000 standard. Short quizzes will be given. ISO 9001:2000 QMS Implementation- 1 day This noncertified course is recommended for those who are implementing their ISO 9001:2000 systems for the first time. This course will fully review the ISO 9001:2000 standard. The course objective is to increase understanding of the philosophy behind the 2000 Standards and how to become conforming. It includes a review of the emphasis on features such as acceptable exclusions, customer satisfaction, process based systems, and the use of ISO 9001 and 9004 as a "consistent pair". A full discussion highlighting the vocabulary, principles of implementing a process based system, and how to meet customer satisfaction requirements is included. AS 9100 Implementation - 1 day This noncertified course is recommended for those who are implementing their AS 9100 system for the first time. The AS 9100 standard expands on ISO 9001:2000 to meet the needs of the aerospace industry. This course will fully review the AS 9100 standard, its clauses and how it relates to the ISO 9001:2000 standard. The course objective is to increase understanding of the philosophy behind the Standard and how to become conforming. Includes a review of the applicable terminology and documentation, and the emphasis on such topics as: first article inspection, configuration management,risk assessment, customer satisfaction, process based systems, the eight quality management principles, and statistical techniques/metrics. This is a highly interactive course including lectures, workshops, and quizzes. (includes all training materials, relevant standards, and refreshments) Who Should Attend?
ISO 9001:2000 or AS 9100 QMS Implementation Course - 2 days This noncertified course is a comprehensive review of the ISO 9001:2000 or AS 9100 standards and the structure of a typical Quality Management System that will meet the requirements. Emphasis is on terminology, structure, and the ISO 9001:2000 or AS 9100 philosophy. Includes discussion of documentation requirements, how to implement and maintain a process based system that will meet the standards of ISO 9001:2000 or AS 9100, and where acceptable exclusions may be taken. Reviews the need for customer satisfaction, continual improvement, management commitment to resources, and the use of ISO 9001 and ISO 9004 as a "consistent pair". The AS 9100 version discusses additional elements such as first article inspection, risk assessment, and configuration management. This interactive course is a more in depth version of the one day courses and will include lectures, workshops, quizzes, and optional take home test. ISO 9001 or AS 9100 Internal Auditor Course This course meets the ISO 9001:2000 and/or the AS 9100 standard and the ISO 19011:2002 requirements for Internal Auditor training. It is designed to give a complete understanding of effective auditing methods. The course utilizes workshops, case studies, and class discussions to help provide the confidence and understanding you need to perform effective audits. This course will include a review of the ISO 9001:2000 standard and/or the AS9100 standard. It will help you develop such skills as: writing audit plans and checklists, conducting opening and closing meetings, determining when a nonconformity exists, the roles of the audit participants, writing audit reports, verifying corrective actions, adjusting the internal audit schedule, and keeping appropriate records of audit activities. This course may be given in either a two day or three day format. *Remember that the ISO 9001:2000 standard requires internal audits be performed by "competent" auditors. This approved course is recommended for those who will be Auditing AS 9120 systems. The AS 9120 standard is the aerospace requirement for Stocklist Distributors. This course will fully review the AS 9120 standard, its clauses and how it relates to the AS 9100 standard. The course objective is to establish a proficient understanding of the AS 9120 Standard and to prepare you with the skills necessary to perform an effective audit to this standard. Includes a review of the applicable terminology and concepts, with an emphasis on such topics as: process approach, product splitting without affecting product integrity, critical certificates, risk assessment, customer satisfaction, and control of nonconforming material. This is an interactive course including lectures, workshops, and quizzes. (includes all training materials, and relevant standards) Who Should Attend?
ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor Course This is an interactive course designed to give a complete understanding of proven lead auditor techniques, leading to effective auditing skills. The course utilizes workshops, case studies, role playing and class discussions to help provide the confidence and understanding you need to perform effective audits. This course will include a comprehensive review of the ISO 9001:2000 standard It will help you develop such skills as: managing the audit process and your audit team, writing audit plans and checklists, how to conduct opening and closing meetings, how to audit for continual improvement, determining when a nonconformity exists, determining the severity of the nonconformity, the roles of the audit participants, the personal attributes of an effective auditor, writing audit reports, verifying corrective actions, and keeping appropriate records of audit activities. Approved ISO 9001:2000 QMS Auditor Transition -2 days - Homestudy Only This course is only available as a Homestudy. This course meets the requirements for certified auditors who are performing third party audits. It is a comprehensive review of the ISO 9001:2000 standard including a comparison to the 1994 edition, and the structure of a typical Quality Management System that will meet the new requirements. Emphasis is on changes in terminology, structure, and the new ISO 9001:2000 philosophy. Includes discussion of new documentation requirements, the need for a process based system that will meet the standards of ISO 9001:2000, and where acceptable exclusions may be taken. Reviews the need for customer satisfaction, continual improvement, management commitment to resources, and the use of ISO 9001 and ISO 9004 as a "consistent pair". A full discussion highlighting the primary principles that QMS auditors must understand to properly audit to the new standard is included.
